HORACIO MACUACUA: SPONTANEOUS IMPROVISATION
Horacio propone un intenso percorso di lavoro, fisicamente impegnativo, che richiede una particolare attenzione piuttosto che un background omogeneo. I partecipanti impareranno a connettersi immediatamente con l’ambiente che li circonda e svilupperanno una sensibile spontaneità nel prendere decisioni.
Il risultato sarà la creazione di una composizione istantanea piena di significato. L’approccio al lavoro è basato sulla personale intuizione, che cambia e si evolve lavorando in gruppo. Diventa dunque fondamentale la diversità e la specificità del singolo, che allo stesso tempo, avrà l’opportunità di imparare dagli altri, di superare confini forse inesistenti e, attraverso immagini, emozioni e osservazione potrà arricchire profondamente le proprie possibilità.

A CHI SI RIVOLGE
Il laboratorio è rivolto a danzatori, attori e performer che abbiano una solida predisposizione alla performance contemporanea e che abbiano voglia di sperimentare una collaborazione artistica finalizzata alla creazione di due brevi performance da presentare al pubblico al termine delle due settimane di ricerca.

COME
I due artisti avranno a disposizione una settimana ciascuno per condurre un laboratorio intensivo volto alla creazione di due pezzi originali.

La prima settimana: dal 19 al 24 giugno (h. 10:30-16:30)

HORACIO MACUACUA lavorerà con il gruppo di danzatori, attori e performer, in maniera continuativa.
– 6 ore di lavoro al giorno (1 h di break)
Verrà realizzata una performance che andrà in scena la Domenica, in apertura dello spettacolo TRAMPLED ROSES
di e con Horacio Macuacua.

I maestri prenderanno in esame il materiale inviato e selezioneranno fino a un massimo di 25 partecipanti per ognuno, tra danzatori, attori e performer.

HORACIO MACUACUA
Mozambicano di origini, inizia la sua formazione da danzatore praticando la danza tradizionale mozambicana. incontra David Zambrano, che diventa il suo maestro e mentore. Il sodalizio con David Zambrano si traduce oltre che sulla scena, insegnando e contribuendo al continuo sviluppo delle tecniche Flying-low e Passing Through.
Horacio è danzatore, coreografo e direttore artistico della compagnia che porta il suo nome. senza chiudersi in alcuna limitazione estetica, la compagnia, sviluppa i suoi progetti in assoluta armonia con la creatività di tutti i suoi collaboratori.

HORACIO MACUACUA: SPONTANEOUS IMPROVISATION
Horacio proposes a highly physical work that demands attention, interest and alert rather than a certain technique level. The participants learn to relate and connect themselves instantly to the environment and to develop playfulness and spontaneity in taking decisions, for immediate composition full of meaning.
His approach is based on his own intuition and varies and evolves with what the group offers. The basis of this work is the diversity of the personal movement and world of each participant, who will be working from the body and with images and emotions to discover new and surprising possibilities.
Everybody learns from everybody, to risk more and to delve deeper into the potential of their
own creativity by sharing, observing, attending, seeing other bodies and appreciating what is
offered. Dance happens more present, more complete, it gets deeper and richer.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Performare project is open to dancers, actors and performers who have a strong propensity to contemporary performance and who want to experience an artistic cooperation, in order to create two short performances that will be presented to the audience at the end of the two weeks research.

HOW?
The two artists will work one week each in order to create a brand-new piece.

First week: from the 19th to the 24th of June (h. 10:30-16:30)

HORACIO MACUACUA will work with the group of dancers, actors and performers continuously

1 hour launch pause
The performance take place on Sunday before the Horacio Macuacua performance TRAMPLED ROSES

BIO

HORACIO MACUACUA
Native of Mozambique, Horacio starts his training as a dancer learning the traditional mozambican dance. he meets David Zambrano, who become his mentor and master. He collaborate with Zambrano for several creations, and he still teach and contributes to the continuous developing of Flying-low and Passing Through method.
The Mozambican dancer is the choreographer and the artistic director of the dance company which bears his name. Having no aesthetic limitations the company develops projects that are open to the creativity of all the collaborators.

He has carried out the projects: M <> 3L = COMUM, Canais, Orobroy, Stop! (1st Prize and Puma Creative Prize at Danse l’Afrique Danse Festival 2010), Smile If You Can!, Fighting room and Paradise is not in the sky!
Horacio is a founding member of Culturarte, the first contemporary dance company of Mozambique. He has collaborated as dancer and creator with choreographers Cristina Moura, Thomas Hauert, Pablo Colbert, George Khumalo, and David Zambrano
In Europe he worked with Mark Tompkins, Luis Lecavalier, Boris Charmatz, Ted Stoffer, Germaine LeBlanc.
